Google to penalise

Google to penalise websites that are not mobile friendly from 21st April 2015

When it comes to search on mobile devices, users should get the most relevant and timely results. Google have announced that as of the 21st April, they will be expanding their use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal.

Google penalises non mobile sitesWhat does this mean?

• More mobile-friendly websites in search results

• More relevant app content in search results

This will have a significant impact on how people find you using Google search. If a user is on a mobile device, the most relevant content that is optimized for their device will now be the easiest the find.

With these changes coming into place, it’s time to start thinking about your websites and how mobile friendly sites will rank higher than those that aren’t.

As you might be aware we are a little mobile mad here at Concep, knowing that mobile must be baked into our clients’ communications initiatives because mobile devices are where business people are consuming content and engaging with B2B brands.

With this knowledge we’ve created a product framework to customize and deploy highly-engaging and mobile friendly microsites (working across desktop / tablet / smartphone). This ensures your microsites are not penalised by the new Google search results.
